London ki Lali
Великобритания
Добавлен 19 окт 2017
Hi, I'm London Ki Lali and I'm learning about the Indian subcontinent in London and THE WORLD!
I went to India for the first time when I was 23 years old and then got completely HOOKED and obsessed with all things to do with India! I've been on many trips to India, and I find that I learn new things on every trip I take. I also love to watch Netflix Hindi series and films.
I took Hindi lessons in evening classes every week for around 4-5 years. So I have a good base knowledge of Hindi and although I am very out of practice I do like to try and speak it occasionally!
I've learnt recently that I don't just love India, I have a natural thirst for knowledge for many other cultures too - but particularly the ones that are in the Indian Subcontinent ;) I would love to travel to Pakistan and Bangladesh one day.

Oh chai, not child cooking on the stove that make sense.😂
I just saw a glimpse in tiktok of this this ist the mother of invention its so cool and easy.its easy to say this product ist the think all desi ppl are waiting for.never ever i backet up a project in sec. Love from germany
Wahoo 🎉🎉
I see a problem with the design. While it solves the problem of boiling over, cleaning that thing is going to be a real pain in the arse. It has a narrow mouth so reaching the inside to scrub out all the milk fat that sticks to the walls while you cook masala chai is going to be challenging. I use high quality saucepans from Demeyere and Mauviel to make chai and still cleaning it is a pain. The solution for the chai not boiling over is to heat it it in medium low to low heat and it seldom boils over. While the design of this contraption solves one issue, it creates a new one which is cleaning that thing after and the milk fat from boiling tea sticks to the walls and makes it quite the challenge to clean. You could use non stick saucepans from Hexclad or similar and low heat and that will solve the problem plus make cleaning easy.
Actually I’ve cleaned it myself and it’s very easy, if you watch the full length RUclips video you will see that it comes apart and is extremely easy to clean
@@LondonkiLali That’s good to know that it comes apart and easier to clean. What I can’t understand is why people heat their tea in high heat so it boils over. I use a saucepan and brew the tea first and then add the milk and add chai masala spice blend and let it cook in medium low to low heat and I seldom have the boiling over problem. It does take a tad longer but it slow cooks and boils gently. I am all for kitchen contraptions but I’m not sold on this. Cleaning the pot after tea is still a pain in the arse because of the milk fat sticking to the sidewalls. I usually make about 2 litres of tea at a time ( half tea half milk plus spice blend) so I can pour it in a double walled stainless steel thermos and have multiple cups over several hours. I am mainly a coffee drinker but I like masala tea and the reason I make it not so frequently is because of the post cooking cleaning 😀 I am glad there is a market for it but I am still not sold on it and I have already figured out the fix for boiling over mess… low heat cooking 😀

Love from uae🇰🇼 Long live uk
Well done
I hope they paid you good money for the advert 😊
Music is really awesome 😎
- is there any difference in the taste of tea?
I tried and I think it makes good tasting chai. 😄
Vote Reform UK in the elections

Mam what is your profession in London? Plz reply. Thanks a lot.
Mam do you earn 80k pound sterlings a year in London? Plz reply. Thanks a lot.
Average salary in uk is 35k, so do you really think I earn more than double that amount ??
Chai is the mother of invention ☕☺️
This tea maker machine prepare tea for how many people at once? Nice product 😃
Good question. It makes 600 ml, which is 2-3 cups depending on your cup size
lovely
The one question that was not asked and we need to know, what’s the story behind the name ‘Loka’?
Hah fun question! We did SO MUCH name-storming. We must have had like 50 different shortlist names. Took us ages, but it was a fun process. We love Loka as it is an old Sanskrit word meaning dimension/world/multiverse. It feels both classic and futuristic, which is what we are all about!
🙏🎉
You should go on Dragon's Den.
I agree!! This is so Dragon’s Den worthy!!!
This is so good. Wonder why we in India never bothered to think about doing something like this. cheap labour is not good for innovation 😁😁
But also, in India it is soo easy to get chai out on the street for only 20 rupees. In uk it is not easy to find unless you live near Chai Guys of course !!
It looks good. "Dragons Den" may not realise just how useful it is! Here in the UK, chai is really growing in the public awareness - just see how many coffee outlets offer the syrup-based version of it as well supermarkets with their instant versions. And lovely to hear Anish react to disaster in the British way: "Oh, dear, that didn't work as well as I expected."
Would love to Buy… 1. Does this work on electric and induction stoves? 2. Do they ship to the US?
Yes it does work on induction! And yes you can ship to the US because most of their sales have come from the US. Plus Nikhil lives in NYC.
Sooooo coooool
My favorite british was james watt
…
I'm not a business expert, but I hoped they have talked to some entrepreneurs who have expertise about making products available in various markets and can bring more awareness of this product to Indian businesses. I can't see this available in major supermarkets like Tescos, unless it's located in densely South Asian populations. Definitely would be a success in South Asia, unless somebody in those places have already invented this.
Maybe not mainstream supermarkets but Amazon and John Lewis kitchen section ??? 😊
@@LondonkiLali I agree. It looks like a good product and perhaps hotels and restaurants that cater to South Asians might buy this in large numbers
Pune is such a cool metro with a unique combo of modernity and culture...
16 aana = 1 rupee..
Ms Lali, the USP of your this RUclips channel is you being British by birth as well as well traveled in India. So when you review such restaurant please try to put two different type of hats separately while tasting their food. One of normal UK born person and other British person who loves Indian old and well traveled in India And give two review of each food putting one of these hats at a time. Review by Non Residents Indian is just little addition to video for people like me
Try out Chaiwala. I'm from Central London ❤
Chaiwala uses syrups and they don’t make chai authentically
Modi statement on Gandhi world countries surprise it will down fall RSS BJP government ,don't say on Gandhi not free dom fighter, don't compare any other fake leders , he was founded what freedom verious state's people in India.

This made me crack up hard 😂. It was the sequence you said the words. Irukka? [Pause] Theeppetti. Just imagine going to store and asking 'Is it there?' only to utter the word 'Matchbox' after a pause.😂

This is genuinely the first time ive seen someone go to goa and actually engage and acknowledge in our history and the deeply rooted colonial past. It hurts when people only care about partying when goa is so interesting
Really lady?? You're deleting/hiding comments of mine which is really good advice for you😔 But God is watching everyone, I will just say this. Love from Bharat 🇮🇳❤️
Deleting it cos you are completely misquoting me. Go back and watch the interview and you’ll realise I was talking about someone else.
@@LondonkiLalireally Lali ji? I don't think I misquoted you, the main point of your words was the same as what I commented. or Bhagwan se daro, If you felt that I have misquoted you then you should have said so in the same comment, you should not have deleted that comment😒, peace✌️❤🇮🇳
😂@@LondonkiLali
@@amarjitsingh-sq5hsbro!!, can you elaborate what's happened?
@@deepikarani3510 I said this to her and she deleted this comment 👉👉 I was watching your this video when I came across one of your podcasts but Very disappointment by your Kazi Rahman podcast, I came to know one thing from that video that you like Islam, there is no harm in it but If any Indian hears these words 'Free Kashmir' then it is a red line for you, irrespective what is the religion of that Indian then he will definitely oppose you and muslims are very safe in India but minorities re definitely not safe in Bangladesh and Pakistan check the data and You were saying in that video if I offend even one person, I feel bad. You have offended many people and did not even apologize. I am talking when you were saying that right wing Hindus(or i would say nationislist Indians) were commenting on my Free Kashmir video but you are not seeing your mistake, how big a mistake you have made in that video. You were showing your hypocrisy there And I will give you advice, if you do not know the history of Indian subcontinent properly then stay away from it and especially from religious things. And it would be better for you if no one else watches that podcast. still best wishes for the future ❤ love from Bharat 🇮🇳 You are doing good work but stay away from controversial things, Just like you were ignoring his questions about Palestine and Israel.
I have had lunch here before, I found it overrated! btw 22nd june is India Day Milton Keynes, are you going Lali?

Were there many Chinese customers in there? 🧐
I didn’t see any
@@LondonkiLali That’s a surprise. Not sure why. Perhaps fusion Chinese foods are not popular in China. Whereas in India, it’s quite common to have fusion Indian Chinese restaurants.
@@dee74razbecause it’s not real authentic Chinese food it’s tailored for Indian taste buds which is why it’s indo-Chinese. Same with Chinese food in the U.K. is not real Chinese food.
@@LondonkiLali Yes that’s true. Mind you many Indian foods at Indian restaurants are not proper or real Indian foods when compared to ones in India.
As a history student, glad to know the Calcutta-Canton relationship. And credit goes to ...Brits.... Both Calcutta and Canton were developed as trading ports ...opium was smuggled to Canton from Calcutta for tea. Coz Brits love Tea.
We do love tea ☕️
For best info Chinese try Hakka garden.. that’s the most famous and most authentic.. just for the information , indo Chinese was generated in Calcutta India and you will have that flavour in Hakka garden
namaste lali ji 🙏
